空間を印象づくる、機能をもったサイネージデザイン
サイネージに囲まれたTOKYO NODEという空間において、一般的な館内案内やプロモーションディスプレイとしてのサイネージではなく、世界観をかたちづくる存在でありながら、誘導サインの機能をもった新しいサイネージの使い方をデザインしました。
さまざまな大きさ・形状があり、各フロアの空間の印象をつくる強い存在感を持つTOKYO NODE館内のサイネージ。ここに、「TOKYO NODE」を「繋がりから生まれる運動体」として表現したいという思いからうまれたビジュアルアイデンティティ、絶えず変化・拡張し続ける都市の結節点としての世界観、そこで行われる様々な催し物・店舗の個性を活かせるフラットさの3つを共存させることが課題でした。
フロア内のサイネージがモーションロゴによって連動することでTOKYO NODEの世界観を伝える存在になったり、会場や店舗への誘導を表示したり。状況やタイミングによってバリエーション展開や可変できる耐久性のある仕組みをもたせ、来館者にとっての誘導サインとなる機能性をあわせもつデザインシステムをつくりだしました。

Functional Signage Design That Defines the Space
Within the TOKYO NODE space, which is surrounded by signage, we designed a new approach to signage that goes beyond typical wayfinding or promotional displays. It serves as an element that shapes the facility’s worldview while also functioning as wayfinding signage.
The signage throughout TOKYO NODE comes in various sizes and shapes, creating a strong presence that defines the atmosphere of each floor. Our challenge was to harmonize three elements within this signage: the visual identity born from the desire to express "TOKYO NODE" as a "dynamic entity born from connections"; the worldview of an ever-changing and expanding urban node; and a sense of openness that allows the individuality of the various events and shops taking place there to shine through.
By synchronizing the signage on each floor with the motion logo, the displays convey the atmosphere of TOKYO NODE while also providing directional guidance to venues and shops. We created a design system that combines this functionality with a durable mechanism capable of displaying variations and adapting to different situations and timing, serving as a wayfinding guide for visitors.
